While the legal status of marijuana-derived CBD is contentious, hemp-derived CBD is legal in the UK in the form of oils, edibles, ointments, and various other products. Life Oil products are derived from industrial hemp, which is authorised for interstate sale under the 2014 Farm Bill.

Hemp contains only CBD. Marijuana contains a full spectrum of CBD, CBDA, CBDV, CBGA, CBG, CBC, CBN. Hemp is a lot cheaper to produce than Marijuana. Both are members of the cannabis family but are cultivated and used differently.

Everyone’s body is different and may require different amounts of CBD based on factors such as metabolism, activity level, medications you are taking, and overall health. Because there is currently no recommended daily value from the FDA, you will need to determine the dose that fits your body and purpose. Begin with a low dose and increase or decrease your dosage based on signs from your body.

However, your usage method may have an effect on the amount of CBD that gets absorbed into your system, and how long it takes to feel the effects. Oil drops placed under the tongue for at least 30 seconds allows optimal CBD release.

Chromatography is the process of breaking down the various constituents of a mixture into its various parts to be quantified and analysed independently. In the context of CBD, third-party laboratories use chromatography to test for CBD and THC levels, as well as other minor cannabinoids.

The THC concentrations in hemp oil are nowhere near enough to have any effect on you: industrial cannabis plants (Cannabis sativa L.) generally contain only a trace amounts of the THC that marijuana plants contain. THC is the cannabinoid that is targeted in drug tests. These tests look for the metabolic products of THC and begin with a simple urine test sample. The test uses antibodies to detect THC and the metabolite it produces, known by the rather complicated name of ‘11-nor-delta9-caboxy-THC (THC-COOH)’. If initial tests find that you have more than 50 Nanograms (ng) of these substances in your urine, a Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) test is carried out to confirm the result. This test targets the 11-nor-THCCOOH metabolite and is not sensitive to other cannabinoids including CBD.

CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning that you cannot get “high” or intoxicated by consuming CBD oil drops, as well as any other raw natural product from cannabis sativa plants for that matter.
Our CBD products are all made from cannabis sativa, which only contains trace amounts of THC (less than 0,2%), so there is no psychoactive effect from taking our products.

CO2 extraction is an extraction process that uses pressurised carbon dioxide (CO2) to extract phytochemicals (such as CBD, CBG, or terpenes, flavonoids, etc.) from a plant. CO2 at certain temperatures and pressures acts like a solvent, without the dangers of being one. It is the most expensive extraction method and is widely considered the most effective and safest plant extraction method.
